Hundreds of homeless men, women and children come to the New Life Evangelistic Center at 806 N. Jefferson Ave. in Springfield each week. Because many of these individuals are veterans, this outreach center is called the Veterans Coming Home Center. In addition to the direct help the homeless receive at 806 N. Jefferson Ave., these individuals need tents, sleeping bags, tarps, batteries and a wide range of hygiene items including toothbrush, toothpaste, women hygiene products, soap, razor, deodorant, etc. to help them survive day by day.
In order to serve these hurting and homeless children of God, New Life Evangelistic Center must have the following supplies in the day-to-day operation of the Veterans Coming Home Center at 806 N. Jefferson. These include toilet paper, 55-gallon trash bags, laundry soap, dish soap, paper plates, napkins, band aids, Bibles, coffee, creamer, Tylenol disinfectant, cleaning supplies, dish soap, laundry soap, etc. Without these essential items, we cannot effectively help those in need at 806 N. Jefferson Ave.
At the Veterans Coming Home Center the homeless can do their laundry, receive breakfast, lunch, shower, store their belongings, use the computer to find jobs, rest, and get additional assistance.
As followers of the Risen Savior, we must help our homeless brothers and sisters in Springfield. Jesus said, “As often as you have done it to the least of these you have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40).
Please let the love of God flow through you into the lives of the homeless in your community by sharing now. Hebrews 13:2 says, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
We must provide for the angels God sends into our lives. If you cannot bring these items to the Veterans Coming Home Center, please send your most generous gift to: 806 N. Jefferson Ave, Springfield, MO 65802.
Yours in Christ,
PS I would love to show you how your gifts are directly helping the hurting and homeless. Please call me at (417) 866-3363 to schedule an appointment to come visit us at the Veterans Coming Home Center.
